What is Empowerment Technologies subject to you?
•Empowerment Technology subject enhances our knowledge through the use of technology. This subject is very useful for us, specially to our generation because we can learn a lot of things so we won’t be left behind in this changing world. The things that we learned from this subject can be very used and applied in changing our community and even our world.
How did this subject change the way you view ICT?
•A first I thought that Empowerment Technology is just about computers and how to use them. But as we go along the topic, I learned that this subject has so much more to offer. The old boring class about Technology became very interesting for me.
Are the tools you have used in the subject are used to achieve higher goals?
•We actually used a lot of tools but I think WordPress and Change. Org are the most useful. It can be used for campaigns and publishing blogs that could reach thousands of people and would be very helpful in improving our society.
After going through the lessons and visiting online sites, reflect on how they are currently being used. Do you agree or disagree with it?
•I agree with those who uses change. org to file their petitions so that a lot of people would be encouraged to vote. It’s like the petition would be their voice to start the change that they wanted. I also agree with the use of wprdpress for blogs, the site is very useful and helpful for posting blogs. The sites that we have visited are all useful and it should only be used for greater things like for the betterment of our society
Which of the given lessons and performance tasks have you enjoyed and why?
•I think the activity that I enjoyed the most is the campaign. It really helped me to learn a lot and it’s amazing how our words can reach out our fellow students through social media.
